Sharmeka’s journey in care began over two decades ago in the psychiatric field, first at the Horsham Clinic in Pennsylvania, working with children and adults facing complex challenges including ADHD, depression, anxiety, and substance use.

This foundation was deepened through 14 years as a Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) in Philadelphia schools, serving youth aged 7 to 16 with behavioral health needs. This path was not just professional—it became personal. While building this career, Sharmeka also navigated the profound responsibilities of parenting two children with serious health diagnoses, including Lupus and anxiety.

These parallel journeys—professional expertise paired with lived, personal understanding—revealed a critical need for compassionate, skilled in-home care. What started as Sharmeka's career in psychiatric and therapeutic support was destined to evolve into this agency.
